This has been my contention since the drivers license question wherein the question itself misquoted her previous statement, then Obama attacked her on that answer for two weeks, screwed up his answer to the same question, and got a pass on it.

The press, in my mind, should at least be as impartial as we hope the officials running a football game are.

Look at the negative way the press covered Bill Clinton's remark that Obama is a roll of the dice. HE IS A ROLL OF THE DICE. One could argue they are all a roll of the dice, but the odds vary.
