Bush and the congress
Bush has another13 months in office.
On one hand, I am annoyed that the dems seem to "cave in" on so many issues.
On the other hand, I wonder what kind of temper tantrum our president might throw, and who it would hurt, if they really did stand up and not let him have his way.
How would he react, for example, if congress refused money for his war? My view has been he'd stop social security checks before he'd stop the war.
It may well be that the wisest thing congress can do, short of votes to impeach or force legislation, is simply try to wait it out until we have a new president.
