Well, it's a National Monument (not the town), so it's not likely it will be developed. Again, the desert is very delicate. I have seen some satanic shit painted on some of the rocks. But, by and large, it's still pristine. I was there for the big bloom in the late '90s. WOW! It looked like an oriental rug. And the insects were equally mind-blowing.
