A little late to the conversation. My take is that President Musharaff had her removed. She posed a threat to his hold on power. The weakling that will try to replace her in the next election, if there is one, does not. And of course we need to blame al Qaeda/terrorists because the asshole Musharraff is the best we got now, and I suppose we have to keep up some appearances that we are not allied with a complete thug.
Its not so far fetched. Promise the suicde attacker that you will pay his family a sum of money after he goes to heaven and this kind of action can be arranged. Im pretty sure Musharraff can come up with some loose change to make it happen.
