But we WOULD be their gods. That is the point. Particularly if behind the scenes we were making everything run (atoms, stars, gravity, et.al.)
Their rejection of our work would be insulting. Particularly if they listened to a renegade human who told them to follow him because he would show them that the notion of a creator was false. (Isn't that what you are doing?)
