Were it so easy to hang it all on a handful of men. There's an ideological cluster on either side who don't believe in compormise in any form. On the Palestinian end they're easily recognized and often reported, but just as nasty and vile are those among the Israeli government [and assocaited organizations outside of government]

sweep'n'clear mentality with no room in their beliefs for a Palestinian state of any size.
