The way it works is when I focus, I move extremely fast. When I don't focus, I move extremely slow. When I say extreme, I mean... extreme to the point I look very weird to the people around me. When i'm going fast, they think i'm on drugs or if it's in a sport, they think i'm cheating in some way.
For me, I tend to focus on things I really like or I love. And I unfocus on the opposite. Maybe if you are trained properly, you can hyperfocus on something you don't like - like work. Or you could learn to love work.
