No, that's correct. In western esoteric traditions there's a concept of
The Sacred Marriage, where the masculine and feminine come together. The masculine is the material and physical while the feminine is the realm of spirit, and together they form
soul. The Hebrew Star of David is a similar idea. The down pointed triangle is the spitirual reaching down and the upward triangle is the physical reaching up.
