In NY, the laws are pretty much the same...this guy was a little nuts, and here I am trying to talk sense to him.

I guess he does this all the time, cause as I was breaking every speed paddeling record getting out of there, I heard his wife screaming at him in Russian.

I was amazed at the ability to paddle through 8-12 inches of water with that kayak. I can't imagine getting towed around by that salmon.
Geez, cant see a reason to get upset with a kayaker, a canoer or rowboat for that matter. Now the damn motor boats and jet skis are a different matter, especially on small, narrow lakes. This one guy had his canoe cut in half by a jet ski, he was a jerk and probably deserved it.

I tend to find the most remote, isolated region to fish or just have fun, so when I am intruded upon by some motorboat with wake I get grumpy. In the old days boaters would slow down say "hey hows the fishin" and go on....

....I think it is like a parking lot, I park away from other cars, when I come back it seems that a group of people have parked right next to me. I have an island of cars around mine.

People just do not get it, I associate with those I choose to associate with, not with those who impose themselves on me. I try not to impose myself either - that "do unto others" thing....
