I was thinking about the (mostly christian) militias out there in the woods, training military style, to take America back and turn it strictly christian and white only. I saw a show about them on the History Channel. Kinda scared me. Alot.

I understand the logic of Muslims to a degree. Mohammad feared being turned into an idol the way Jesus was, and asked his followers neither to paint his picture nor mark his grave. The being that the message was vastly more important than the messenger, which I agree with.

True, but over intervening centuries they'd drift further into the fringes until they were seen as obscure cults in their isolated compounds out in the middle of nowhere.

I honestly think there's potential for a great transformational period in all religions starting with Christianity. In one of my science fiction novels I depict the 24th century theology of
Zen Catholicism wherein a merger with Zen Buddhism leads to a global change and reformation in both religions.
