The Golden Compass
I haven't seen the movie, but have been reading the books. I read "The Golden Compass" and am now on the second book of the trilogy. The first book is definitely anti-religion. Pullman has people from the "Magisterium" doing horrible things to children. The Magisterium has a place called the Vatican and many other references to religion. One of the main characters (a good one) has made it his mission to kill God. I've read that the references to religion have been taken out of the movie - I'm hoping to see it soon.
