I usually go to the conventions. I am a trekker (trekkie, take your pic.....or just geek works as well) I used to be envolved in the clubs....but they freaked me out and I disowned them pretty fast.

I recently saw both Leonard Nomoy and William Shatner at the last convention that came into Sacramento......but we paid $75 a piece for the honor. At least I got to ask Shatner a question and he rambled on for nearly 15 minutes. It was kinda funny to watch people get a little wierded out by it. LOL!

Once (and I can't believe I am telling this) I was at a convention in costume (my last time) and asked a very drunk James Doohan a question about how the two casts from ST and STNG got along and he lost it. Started yelling at me right there in front of hundreds of people that thought he was gonna jump from the stage at me. ( asshole ) At least I got his autograph. (Fucking jerk)

Ah hell, I could tell you stories about Shatner that FREAK YOU OUT! But, I have promised myself that it is his personal life.......that, and the last time I told the story it was to a woman that turned out to be his ex girl friend. So now I just say I have stories that would freak people out and leave it at that.

I grew up on the Shatner/Nimoy movies. This will be my kind of Trek.
As good as Next Gen was, I was too invested in the original crew.

This looks too cool. Mind you, the only Trek I ever liked was The Next Generation. Picard being my favourite captain and the half camp half serious nature and look of the whole thing being quite charming. That sort of Golden Glow it all had, remember ?. haha. Anyway, I think i'll enjoy this one, looks good fun.

Nothing beats the uniforms introduced in Wrath of Khan. Reminiscent of Navy uniforms.

What annoyed me about most about each series was this desperate attempt to link back to the old one with dubous plots of being zapped back to that time and splicing into hold espisodes or using old sets and uniforms. That and the overly simplistic way each alien culture was.
