For me it's a tie between The Mission and Blade Runner.

I love, love, love the score written by Angelo Badalamenti for THE STRAIGHT STORY ... what a beautiful movie!

I'm surprised no one has evoked the operatic themes of the Star Wars trilogy by the great John Williams.

I've been listning to the Batman begins score a LOT lately. It isn't fantastic, but I really get lost in it.
It isn't very memorable, or very complex, but I find that the themes that carry through the entire score are interesting.

The opening theme evokes bats flapping their wings to my ears, and this flapping motif becomes stronger, more powerful later in the score.
Here is a sampling.

I definitely agree with Blade Runner.

Not a film score, but I really like the opening music:

I prefer the musical piece that was used during the Jedi/Sith fight in Phantom Menace.

Duel of the Fates is the only redeeming part of The Fantom Menace. It was quite good, and used Sanskrit lyrics, if I'm not mistaken.
