I like the Michael theory. Since he is supposed to be back and pretty sure in the episode list I saw one is Michael-centric.

Dharma and Greg are on the show? WOW! My wife and I were just talking about how old Greg was looking on his new show in CBS. Maybe being sent back in time will be good for him. And I truly hope this back in time is before Dharma became a Scientologist. Personally, I would hate being stuck on an island listening to someone ramble about Xenu and the Galactic Confederacy all frickin' day long.

How many people here think the 4 people from the helicopter are being used and that the ones who sent them there do not expect them or want them to leave.

This is why Naomi was confused as to why these specific people were being sent on the mission. She was being lied to as well.

The pilot knew they were lying about the bodies, which made him a liability.

The paleontologists or whatever she was went to the dig that was supposed to be closed and found the Darma polar bear along with god knows what else which made her a liability.

The other two guys we don’t know to much about but I am certain when we find out more they will have found something out they weren’t supposed to know.

In fact when the black dude asks hurley in the mental hospital if any of them are still alive he may be talking about the four he sent on the helicopter.

Whoever these four people really are they are there because they are being used. And the people using them do not want them to ever leave that island.


I also found it very interesting when Ben said “you have no idea how dangerous they were” He didn’t say are, how dangerous they are but were, how dangerous they were.

He was talking about them in the past tense.

I think you're right. And the people using them? Dharma?

To get at who? Ben.

Why? He killed their people.

You can even see that they packed gas masks just in case Ben tried the same thing on them.

I have a theory formulating though about Dharma....It might be too early to talk about just yet.

Ok seriously I just thought of this and my spider sense is telling me I'm right.............or I've had too much caffine today......either way.

Ben is the one who sent these four people to the island. Ben is the mastermind behind this whole thing.

When Ben said "you don't know how dangerous they WERE" he meant that now that they are on the island they are no longer a threat to him and DHARMA.

They were a liability to him because of what they knew like the pilot knowing the bodies were fake and the chick going to that dig site. that is why Naomi was confused as to why they would send these four people to go and get Ben.

If these people really wanted Ben dead or captured they would have done it right not send in four amateurs. Not only that but why get Ben? He has no intention of leaving the island so what threat does he pose there? They could just forget he ever existed.

This is also why Ben wanted to go with Locke because he knew Locke was his best bet of dealing with them. Ben said he has a man on the boat but at what point did he speak with this person? I think the reason Ben knows so much about these four people is because he is very much in contact with the outside world and is the man behind the curtain on all of this.

I dunno know...

Ben hates Dharma. He was nothing to them. He was nothing on the island until he killed them and joined the natives.

I think Dharma got chased off that isalnd and their people got killed and they (mostly the hanso foundation) wanst to kill Ben and get the island back under their control.

I think also think Ben knows something about Dharma that hasn't yet been revealed. I think the hippy dippy exterior they used to have wasn't all there was to them. There's a theory floating that they were a doomsday cult, and Ben did actually save the world.

I think the four have been chosen because they have connections to Dharma that runs deeper than liability.

And I think if Ben's "were" comment has any meaning it's more to do with the time loophole stuff that's becoming more relevant.

About Ben saving the world, he always insisted "they are the good guys" so who knows. His character is so complex and mysterious.

But see here is the flaw in that thinking. If DHARMA being who they are wanted to take back the island they are not going to do it by sending these four people. If they wanted to get the island back under their control they would simply come and take it over. Ben and his rebel group of people are no match for the people funding this trip to "get Ben". DHARMA knows how to get to the island they know what the island is and does. It makes no sense to send these four people to do the job.

I feel that these people are more then just a liability. I think they will end up being used just like Juliet was. Do this for us and we will let you go. Yeah right.

I agree there is more going on then we obviously know but I think Ben is behind more then we can see at this point. And I truely believe he wanted these four people to come to the island. He knew they were there for him and knows so much about them for a reason. How did he contact his man on the boat? When did he have time to speak with this person and learn so much about who was coming while he was captured by the losties? Unless he too is speaking with Walt but why would Walt speak with him and tell him these things? I think Ben knew about these people long before any of this started to happen.

How about this.... The person on the boat (Ben's man) has connections with a psychic. Walt.

One thing they talked about on the Pod Casts with Carlton and Damien, is that people who think that Ben is totally evil are going to be given a completely different perspective this season.

Just something to think about.
