Those were the ones I was reading as a kid.

Got in trouble with a teacher for reading Isaac Asimov - "Light, Physics and Chemistry" in class. I was asked by the teacher how I was supposed to learn if I did not read her books, I looked at my book, looked at her and went back to reading - I passed that joke of a class. School is such a scam, as if one does not learn without it......

No, I do not remember reading anything about the theocratic takeover of the US, if I did that was not the message I got from it. Back then I figured that US society was evolving into a rational culture.

Memory is going.... "gun makes you too cocky" Good concept though, shame our leaders did not read Heinlein.

Now, when your weapons are dulled, your ardor damped, your strength exhausted and your treasure spent, other chieftains will spring up to take advantage of your extremity. Then no man, however wise, will be able to avert the consequences that must ensue.
