I had dreams of being a director, screenwriter all that shit... but there's no money in it. I'm in production and creative development. I get to work with a lot of brilliant people, and help them get their ideas greenlighted, but with this strike looming I'm not looking forward to pitching shitty reality show ideas to producers.

What, did you miss me? LOL! I have come back....but I can't read stuff that long without my glasses, and I don't know where they are.

Really this isn't my thread.....I just transfered it from the old site. It belongs to ALL OF US. Is that to socialistic?

I had originally wanted to act, but as an artist I was always being offered paying jobs in design. I ended up as a Property designer for Musical Theatre when the Set Designer I used to work for asked me to apply for the theatre he worked at. Then he took that season off. I applied for the Assistant to the Property head and they gave me the head of the department. It all went to hell from there but I stayed with it and had some great times as well as horrible times.....but, that's live theatre.

When I was in high school, I got called to the Dean's office.

They were thinking of offering a course in creative writing that would be two periods a day, and my name had come up. They wanted to know if I'd be interested.

Of course I was. This got me excited as hell.

A week later, I'm back in the Dean's office. Out of that great big high school, the English teachers only submitted the names of 5 students who they felt wrote well enough to participate. Course was cancelled. Real bummer.

I would call myself an Artist, though in the Musical Arena. Many wouldn't agree . Having written and recorded many a song, some better than others.

That isn't what you meant though. But perhaps it'll make me seem a tad more interesting to people who don't know me yet
