Yeah. I think what happened the first time is when you posted the URL, the system automatically converted it into a link, placing URL tags around it. Then you placed the [IMG] tags around that.

I'll put spaces in this so it won't parse the tags, but it should look like this (without the spaces):
[ IMG ]http://imageurl[ /IMG ]
