I love Mythbusters.

Heres one of my recent favs-

-Can a person with no piloting experience land a jet airliner?

Both Adam and Jamie crashed the sim when trying to land w/ no communication, but when they had coaching via radio from the tower, thay both landed safely.

points-
1) never in the history of aviation has this actually happened, there has never been a case where both the pilot and co-pilot were incapacitated.
2) They made the point that todays airliners are so heavily automated, that literally a kid could land the plane by being coached to push a few buttons.

What are your favorite episodes?!

I love the theme ones they've been doing recently...James Bond...and I really liked the McGuyver one...the last segment where they had to try and prove the myths instead of debunk them....

After that one, I'd say the "Only Cock-ah-roaches (I always say it like Pacino, for some reason) will Survive" myth. Thought that one was interesting.

I liked the one where they build a solar death ray trying to emulate the claims of the ancient greeks using such a weapon to set fire to invading Roman ships from the shore. They got things cooking pretty hot.

Yep. they tried a couple of different methods using polished metal shields. I think the last one which was most effective had a bunch of people each holding a reflective metal mirror all pointing at one spot.
