Also tonight is the premier of The Sarah Jane Adventures.

I watched a Dr. Who this morning before work where Sarah Jane Smith was introduced to this generation. Evidently she used to hang around the Dr. like Rose and Martha. She also evidently had a crush on the Dr. But, this was the Dr. from the sixties/seventies with the crazy curly hair and the long scarf because she had the robot dog, K9 with her.

Before that episode, was the episode where Queen Victoria started Torchwood to defend England from things not of this earth.

You know, I've never watched Dr. Who....

My cousin is appalled that I haven't. He's convinced I'd love it.

I'm sure you would too. My wife likes it and she's very new to it also. Torchwood is a can't miss show for us and I kept telling her about all of the Dr. Who references. So after a particularly scary Torchwood two weeks ago, I told her I had recorded a scary Dr. Who (episode Blink). She loved it. So this morning when the Torchwood thing came up, I showed her and she made sure I recoreded the marathon this morning.

I hope that the new sci-fi season on April 18th isn't the episodes with Martha that I've been watching over and over on BBC America. I guess I'll find out.

Rumors are that Catherine Tate (very funny) will be the next companion. She was already a guest on the show as a Bride who was duped into marrying someone because an evil spider creature bitch wanted to lay eggs in her underground.

Then the next companion is rumored to be Lily Allen the season after Tate.

I'll have to breakdown and watch it.

I've never been a fan of science fiction. But I love the theme song. I think you'd recognize it.

The more modern ones are the ones that start with Christopher Eccleston (2005), then he regenerates into the current David Tennant (2005-current).

There is another Torchwood background trivia on the episodes where he regenerates. I'll let you know because it doesn't really matter. Dr. Who (Tennant) gets his arm cut off while in a sword fight while defending Earth from an invading planet. The arm falls from the flying saucer down to earth. That arm is later seen in the first season of Torchwood in the background everytime people entered the office space. But it's never explained, you just have to be a geek like me.
