Thanks, good suggestions. The link boarder around those images used to be on purpose, the images were different sizes but I used a black boarder to standardize the width to 300 pixels, then the boarder was kind of pretty and added some uniformity to the links. With the new images that's not needed.

I hadn't thought about link colors, thus the default colors, but that's a very good suggestion.

Not much invention needed. Instead of a bearing, you could go straight down to a generator encased in a weather-proof box. The box could be mounted to a concrete support column that would be buried 3 or so feet underground.

Not broken but on your contact page your E-mail address isn't the standard mailto link which opens the users default Email client. It's just text. Sort of a convenience for users, unless its not done like that anymore?

I've thought about this a little, the major design problem is that only the visible sculpture moves, the axle inside is connected to the stand and does not move. At the top of the axle is where the bearing lives.
These could be made larger to provide more power to turn a generator or gearbox, but the electronics are beyond me. What would be sweet is if they at least produced enough energy to power their own lights at night.

FIXED! That was an easy one, thanks for that suggestion. Want to test it for me? I still haven't had time to play with link colors, I have 15 stands to make and a nervous breakdown scheduled for this afternoon and into tomorrow.

I did, until I took my underwater Canon thirty feet deeper than it was rated for, as I read in the instruction manual the night after that dive...

Works fine, and puts "Your question here" in my message area. Is that how you set it up?

Yeah, it was an option with the 'mailto' tag so I used it, along with the text fill for the subject line. I couldn't test it because I use an on-line email provider and don't have my windows email set up at all. It opens the message box and fills in the email address, subject and text but I can't actually mail it to myself.

Tomorrow morning I pick up the rental truck for the first of three shows in three weekends. It's amazing how with six or seven months to prepare for these things, the preparation takes right up until midnight the night before the show... is that timing or what?

?

What did I say. Midnight before the setup and I just finished a brace to keep this installation from fileting small children in strong winds. I thought it would be a good idea.

Guess it's not too bad, some artists I know don't sleep at all the night before a show.

Here's the child fileting machine, sans brace.

(Sorry for the crappy video quality, I'll try to get a better one at the show)

It's gonna be a long hard weekend. I'm outta here 'til the Monday after the show. Then high 'til the Tuesday after the show.
