Here's one of his unsophisticated, three chord songs....go play it. Can't you see Woody all over this piece?

'Round about midnight, we'll be on the same side
Down in the valley, the water runs cold
Beyond the horizon, someone prayed for your soul
My wretched heart is pounding
I felt an angel's kiss
My memories are drowning
In mortal blissBeyond the horizon, at the end of the game
Every step that you take, I'm walking the same

I never said that; either I wrote something wrong or you've misunderstood.

Why would you think you hurt my feelings? You didn't insult my songwriting.

Beyond the horizon,
...

How is it that you equate great song writing with great guitar playing?

I never said Zimmerman never wrote anything good or that he was never good. I did say that today, he sucks and if you've seen him over the last decade or two you'd have to agree.

What the fuck are you talking about now? A "song" is composed of "lyrics" and "music." The example I provided you sites both. In both categories one could hardly refer to them as basic or "redundant." As I said before, try to think a bit before you post.

Talk about a skewed thought process; you listed ONE SONG. How, by one example, could anything be exemplified as redundant? You on the other hand, with your continuing to be condescending, are very redundant. It's a shame that you have to continue to attempt to belittle others just to make yourself pacified with your existence.

Nope, you said that he hasn't written anything of original content since the 1960s and that Dylan = redundancy in music. If you don't dig the guy's style or delivery, I have no interest in trying to convince you otherwise. For all the criticizm I've heard over the years regarding the man's voice (to each his own, it ain't for everyone), that's the first time I've heard anyone call his music redundant. Oh, and give Blood on the Tracks or The Basement Tapes a listen and get back to me on the originality of his 70s material.

And yes, I've seen him over the last decade and I don't agree. But like I said, to each his own. Regardless of the man's current vocal abilities, he continues to put out more quality original material in his 60s than many would be lucky to do in an entire career.
