What? And have the makeup just be a bunch of shit glued to someone's face? Those're horrible werewolf movies. The Wolfman was one of the worst. Completely sucked!! At most the guy'd get shot because someone would've thought him a puny sasquatch.

I wasn't saying The Wolfman as in the film. I just meant Wolfman as in Werewolf... . The only Werewolf film I ever paid huge attention to was Teen Wolf but the Werewolves in Underworld and the one in HarryPotter 3 were cool

The Harry Potter "werewolf" looked like an underfed rat! The best werewolves are American Werewolf In London and The Howling [not any of The Holwing sequals though, just to be clear] with those of Dog Soldiers, underworld and Bad moon all being- ehh alright, but not great. Also, the one in The Curse wasn't too mad, but I've never seen a wolf that's all brown. the werewolves in Van Helsing were too WWE'ish in buid as was the sucky-assed Dracula. Both were LAME!!

Well I'll agree with that, obviously I don't pay as much mind to it as you do . I liked Dog Soldiers and Underworld. But Van Helsing I couldn't agree more. The whole film is a half decent idea ruined completely and utterly by some of the most slippery slidey CG I have ever seen. Very poor. It's saving grace is Kate Beckinsale being extremely hot.

But come on, you know you liked Teen Wolf.

Not to mention fucking up the main character's first name. It's not gabriel, but Abraham Van Helsing.. and of course he's not an action hero type. He's an old man who's tennets are academics and philosophy.

It's good for the humor, but the werewolf look sucked.

Van Helsing was a very lame attempt by Universal Studios to re-imagine their classic horror characters. Parts of it were ok but over all I hated it as well.

Frankly there seems to very few good horror movies to come out with those old characters. Every re-make of Frankenstein suck. Every re-make of Dracula sucks as well.....and not blood!

People in these studios have great ideas but put them in the hands of monkeys.

I am awaiting the new Star Trek with anticipation but....it could go really bad. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Don you not think Mark, that by majority, most new "Horror" movies in the past decade (or maybe 2) have been too much in your face sort of horror. The last truly great formiddable Horror movie I can think of was Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Everything since then has been a bit too full on and often laughable to compare. "Alien" even nearly 30 years later is still more freightening than many of the so-called Horror we get fed today.

As for Van Helsing. I likes Beckinsale, I likes some of the creepy cinematography with the Frankenstein Monster, but the rest is pump.

Star Tweak started as sucking. I didn't realize this as a kid, but as an adult it's painfully obvious to me. Now that Rodeenbery's dead it'll just get worse.
