It's not easy to prevent spam and manage people with phpbb, there are modifications that will help though. Still, it requires a lot more human management than vbulletin. They really should have spent a few bucks for a quality board.

Yeah, but they wont..It has become crystal clear now that they dont give a damn who posts there, and who doesnt..That board has had a rag-tag management policy as long as I was there..Every so often some nut would have a meltdown and spam the board..get banned..and sneak back in with a new username or two or three in a short time..The membership would figure out who it was before the Admin 9 out of 10 times..Alot of the people there were die hard Bill Maher fans, and are treated like cattle by the Admin..I just dont get it?

I'm a die-hard Bill Maher fan- which is why I refuse to go back to that fake-ass place.

All the credibility and attractiveness of a fat elvis impersonator with BO and an ego.

....I'm still fighting the temptation even to sign up over there, because my mother taught me that whole " If you dont have anything nice to say.." thing.

I am so with you on this one! Big fan but disappointed. That board has nothing to do with Bill, he doesn't participate in anything, though there is a stupid topic called "Ask Bill" - ask Bill what....why he doesn't participate in his fan board?
