Bill Maher Boards lockes thread.....too many requests for improvements.

I guess the heat has gotten too much for MicheleMechele even as a moderator.

I left a wish list of things that I would like such as a white background for posts to make it easier to read as well as video embedding.

Basically I got my head bitten off by MM and then the thread was locked. I wasn't even being an ass. ( God knows I can be, but this was a simple post making suggestions) Oddly enough MM defended her own copyright infringements by posting news stories, saying that the newspaper she copies from has said they are not seeing a decline in readership from it. ?

Anyway........I need to get a life....get Christmas up and running here at home and get a few more things straightened out before I can spend large amounts of time here. I have recently told Eric that I may not be able to hang out here further. My spouse has expressed outrage by the images he has seen being posted and wondered why it was allowed and when I addressed the issue it was very clearly expressed by Eric his wish not to burden the membership here with too many rules.

Let me say for the record to all concerned in the past, or that may be so in the future.....that admin here on this site is looking out for it's members in a way that is very important. Allowing those that post the freedom to do so without worry of being censored is a great freedom! A freedom everyone should stop and think how far they take it. I will stop playing mommy now and say that I have met a huge amount of great people here.....including White Rabbit that has made several important and significant contributions to this site. Give him a break. He may be one of the great contributors to making us all think.

PS) I will probably come by every so often and drop an illustration into the "Further Urge" thread. It was originaly a story line being followed by troops in Iraq (at the HBO site) and it is a fun thread.

You take care of you Mark. I'm sorry you've felt adrift lately with all the message boards issues at HBO, BM, and here. I too have concerns sometimes about images posted, but then I have to kick myself and realize that my sense of decorum or morality can be a little prudish. I've learned a great deal from all these friends over the years, and they've opened my eyes and my mind, and changed me in ways I can't even put into words.

Michele's got a tough, tough job on her hands with a lot of disgruntled posters and little steady activity. Hopefully, it will all smooth out after a while. I'd just hate to see any of this change her, cause she's a passionate, compassionate gem of a girl. I miss her very much.

You have a WONDERFUL, HAPPY, AND LOVING HOLIDAY. Keep in touch and we'll keep a fire burning for ya.
