you know i have nothing against mm but the writing was on the wall when they made anyone from the community a mod. imo.

That was the great thing about that board. If BM would say it, on his show or otherwise, we could say it. How many times had we heard that Admin say freedom of speech was Mr. Maher's motto. Man, that's mind blowing.

I know I was all hipped up to check out a board last week

and had to register to see anything; then got in and it wasn't

anything I really wanted. I gave a piece of myself away

I didn't really see it that way. I didn't always agree with MM on everything, but I would have thought she'd draw people back to the site, and she always started a lot of good, fun, interesting threads, and was helpful to new people. I was thinking it was something more along those lines.

I know everyone isn't crazy about mods from the community (Lord knows, I know that), but I was very surprised they decided to do that there. They'd always had this cold, shadowy, authoritative Admin figure who was above questioning, and you just accepted that, cause it's the way it had always been.

It's all so bizarre and confusing: the strange crappy board, all the posts being gone, the long unexplained absense of the board, now all these incidents that seem out of character with the old board's premise and name sake. I just don't get any of it.
