Is Bill Maher still backing Hillary?

It seemed like he was moving in that direction towards the end of last season but things have changed since then and I wonder if he will or has reconsidered who he is throwing his support towards.

In my opinion I think Bill, at one point, really believed the hype that Clinton was the inevitable candidate who could "actually win an election". After Iowa, and soon New Hampshire I wonder if he will be singing a different tune.

The show starts back up this Friday the 11th. He never backed Hillary or anyone for that matter. A couple years ago he was very critical saying she'd never win and didn't know why the dems were pushing for her so hard (which I can't figure out either). Then he kind of changed his tune last season so who knows where he stands now.

I remember Bill bashing the democratic candidates and then saying that "Hillary isnt a real democrat because she could actually win an election." I suppose that statement can be interpreted in many ways but I see that as an endorsment. Aside from that segment he had made repeated subtle gestures in support for her throughout the season. I loved it when the audience booed him for doing so every time.

I wonder if Huckabee will be on with him soon. He was on a few times the last season and now that he's getting more popular, I am curious to see if Bill gets him back. Since the other front runners have yet to come on the show except for Edwards.

Wrong Clinton?

I know Bill said in one of his shows that the Dems should be allowed to run Bill Clinton and the GOP run Arnold so that both parties could run with their 'best' champions. He was only slightly kidding, of course. I've never really gotten a bead on his feeling for Hillary, but his love of Bill is in no doubt going back over all three versions of his show. He really seemed to support Gore during his run, and publicly has wished for his return to the race since. I don't think I've ever heard him say anything definite about Obama either way. As a rather liberal closet Libertarian he has seemed to warm to Ron Paul, but I have my suspicions that has more to do with demographics than any real endorsement on his part.

i think he only liked ron paul because of his stance on the war. like some liberals(stephanie miller, for instance), he wasn't paying any attention to paul's views on other issues.

Maybe also because of Paul's support of the Constitution ,which has been violated to the point of being ass raped???? Maybe?? Nah. Makes too much sense.

i only recall him discussing the war with him. i mean, that's why he brought him back on the show last year for a second appearance. perhaps they discussed the constitution during his first appearance, i don't remember.

i was at a hillary town hall meeting(which happened to be at my place of employment) and two ron paul supporters showed up carrying signs, one of which said "iron my constitution". somebody questioned him about the sign, the guy said the constitution has been "wrinkled".
