New Rule
Israel needs to stop writing checks they cant cash.
<applause> Every other day you have Olmert or some other cheeky bastard puting out press releases saying that Israel will attack and destroy Iran and Israel will do this and Israel will do that and whatever.Theyve been talking shit for years and havnt done jack. Israel is too weak to attack Iran on its own. I know it. Israel knows it. The Ruskies know it and Iran certainly knows it. So Israel needs to put up or shut up. Its getting really annoying already and detrimental to US-Iranian relations. |

Shutting up would be the best choice. And that goes for us as well. I think we're fucking up our relationship with Iran just fine on our own. If I recall, Bush is engaging in his own rants about attacking Iran. I find that to be "annoying" as well. In fact he just sent 20 billion dollars for arms aid to the Saudis just in case they need to protect themselves from Iran. |

"Regarding the threat of nuclear Iran, all options are on the table," an official quoted Olmert as telling parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee. "Israel cannot reconcile itself with a nuclear(not even civilian nuclear power) Iran and there is no option which we are ruling out in advance," Olmert said, according to the official, who has a mandate to brief the media on the prime minister's comments to the committee. |

ISRAELI security forces shut down Palestinian movement in the occupied territories and sealed off much of central Jerusalem yesterday in a massive security operation for George Bush's first presidential visit to the Holy Land. Mr Bush arrived at Ben Gurion airport last night to promote the flagging Israeli-Palestinian peace process and — at least as important for the US and Israeli leaderships — to seek new ways of containing the growing assertiveness of Iran. Israeli President Shimon Peres wasted no time in raising the subject, using his welcoming address at the steps of the aircraft to warn that "Iran should not underestimate our resolve for self-defence". Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Mr Bush's understanding of the need to fight "evil and terror" had won him the love of "all the citizens of Israel". Mr Bush said Israel and the US were strong allies with "a shared belief in the power of human freedom".(Except in Palestine obviously^^^, the Golan Heights, and the Gaza Strip |
