Bill Maher still thinks that eating meat is evil. It never occurs to him that methane from cow manuer can be collected as a fuel, and that human beings have been raising livestock for food since 9000 B.C. He's willfully ignorant of the fact that among the U.N.'s standards for malnutrition is the absence of a source of meat or fish.

And I'd still like to see him explain what we're going to do with the cows once no one's eating them anymore. I'm not posting that as a joke, but a serious problem that no one thinks about. The reason India's cow population and many of their polution problems are so bad is because there's a shitload of cows but you're not allowed to kill and eat them.

Good point. He's pretty stuck on this cow thing. I honestly don't know that much about it, but seems to me it's more about THE WAY we handle the beef supply, than the fact that people eat it. But, like I said, I don't know much about it.

The show sucked on steroids tonight. The two conservatives dominated the discussion; Bill seemed ill informed about the topics they brought up (and let them get away with spewing UTTER BULLSHIT); and most importantly, IT WASN'T THAT FUNNY! I'm starting to think his writers did get material from our old board, and maybe we should drop them a line letting them know where we've gone.

THIS is part of that crazy email that was, probably still is, going around about Obama. I've gotten it a few times, and hammered people who were spreading it. How can people be so willfully ignorant! How can a GD congressman spread that vicious lie?

It was pretty shitty show since Frum and Kingston got away with spouting all sorts of talking point shit and weren't challenged by Maher, and even the audience unless it was totally outrageous. It started off with a crappy monologue, went great with the Brokaw, and just went downhill with the panel just because there wasn't a strong liberal on it to challenge the crap that everyone already mentioned. This is one of the worst eps I've seen in loooooong time. And the quality hasn't been that good lately so that says a lot.

As for Overtime Teri B. if the pattern holds, I wouldn't be able to get a question in for this episode (Same person doesn't get to ask a question in consecutive weeks) Also the same person doesn't get to have more than two questions selected per 'season' If you want, I can try to see if I can break that trend this season, or I can just dump overtime questions here for other people to post.

Don't be a pseudo-scientific goober. The U.N. is a political organization, not medical or scientific. We need certain elements within the food (such as protein or carbohydrates). Besides, the cows would still be used for milk.

Whoops, misread the question. For that, see if the Bill Maher site has that function where you can send Maher questions. I remember when I first joined I asked a question about his relationship with Ann Coulter and he answered it after 2 weeks.

I tried once to send a question, but I would have had to register and all that, but I was too lazy and I lost interest. He'll probably get bombarded with comments on it though. I thought everyone knew that crap was false.
