Real Time 2/29
Tonight, Bill welcomes actor Harry Shearer, diplomat Shashi Tharoor, journalist Christopher Hitchens, and Real Time correspondent Dan Savage. Plus via satellite, Gov. Ed Rendell (D-PA).
Hitchens!! Now if only Bill could get the good Reverend Al Sharpton on the show tonight. |

I'll bet 5-1 Hitchens is drunk. That probably would be a good show. The atheist and the faux Christian. Rev. Al knows he would get whomped though.

Hopefully tonight's episode will be better than the shitfest that was last week. (I'd be throughly impressed if Maher manages to fuck up that royally to top it) Savage would be interesting if they threw him into another Crazy Christian Convention (I was tempted to switch the Cs to Ks) like last time. |

Harry Shearer is cool. I actually met him once, when I was about 8. It was at Jazz Fest... proof he is cool.
Comedy is great though. The pain of learning the truth can be off-set by the pleasure of laughter. Like the great Horace quote someone uses in their signature. |

I just heard Dan Savages comments about Obama's security being beefed up after Dallas last week. This is not true. At Obama's rally Monday at UC in Cincinnati, the same thing happened. Me and my brother were in line for a hell of a long time, because everyone had to go through metal detectors via the main entrance. Then the line moved really, really fast. They opened up the side doors and quite a lot of us got in unchecked. Ohio State may have been different, but UC sure wasn't.
