Lack of functionality? What? So her students are idiots? Seriously, have they never been on a political board before or what?

Cluttering? Seems to me that Eric and the mods are usually pretty quick to move a thread to the appropriate location.

Endless drivel? Yeah, she's got us there, but show me a political board that doesn't have some.

If what she considers a REAL message board should be like is the antithesis of this, then I greatly fear what she defines as a REAL message board.

Also, as others have already mentioned, "VBulletin is yesterday's news"? Riiiiight.

Not that I would encourage that kind of behaviour, but Tor Onion Router is one possible solution.

In it's own right, phpbb is a decent board, especially considering that it's free but it's just one of those things where you get what you pay for. It requires a lot more backend work to get anywhere near the default functionality of vbulletin.

Granted, I have written some of my own mods that you see here and installed a few others but most of the board is standard, out of the box vbulletin and the administration is by far the easiest and most robust of any board out there.

I guess Eman needs to wake up that board. The number of members and the number of posts does seem to speak volumes. I hope the last poster every night remembers to turn off the lights.

Boy, that was one petty, silly, and arrogant post by Admin. What little college psychology I took tells me she's got a grudge against us and this board. She's a fine one to talk about childish behavior after posting that nonsense.

Oh, I agree about phpbb. Another forum that I frequent is phpbb, and it works fine. It is just the idea that vbulletin is yesterday's news is a bit...unusual.
