I, fully, agree with you about science
but
for all of human existance there have been 'haves'
and 'have-nots'.

Root cause = bullying.
Should we cherish this?
Not in my humble opinion.
Need is normal.
Telling poor people to shove thier needs where the sun don't shine and
suck-up creates crime where there doesn't need to be crime.

Human 'fire' can be vented through sports instead

When I say good luck enforcing that I mean to be sarcastic. You're telling people to defy their nature. The smart play is to improve their quality of life so that they needn't think it necessary to have so many kids.

I was at a bbq once, and a wealthy older couple was there. The guy was on about his fifth beer, in a conversation about business and what not, and says, "What's money, anyway? Money's only important to people who don't have it.". Most of the guests were union workers. You could feel the air leave the room.

This was in the late '90s, btw. He might have gotten killed for saying that now.

BTW, re: Real Time, maybe I'm getting burnt out on politics. I dunno. But anymore, I'm just watching the final 20 minutes or so to catch the tail end of the round table, and New Rules. I hope I'm in the minority, because I don't want this show to get canceled. But I just can't watch people talk politics for an hour, anymore. Unless there's someone like a George Carlin on the panel.

I watch it all, but I get what you mean. Especially when republicans and Hillary supporters start talking and you know within the first three words that they're completely out of touch with reality.

I avoid most political talk because so little of it

I, also, watch the show with much less vigor now.

I understand that Mr. Maher enjoys spending most of his days
buried in titties and Hollywood gossip.
His mistake is thinking that his fans really want that to be the
main serving of his comedy.
I think that he, also, has to lick MUCH ass to get people to come on his show
which is understandable.

Really, the spin doctors need seriously slicing and few people,
even Bill Maher are capable because it almost has to be done on the fly and VERY few people have THAT skill and bravery
