I respectfully suggest that Bill Maher could perform a service to the famed and acclaimed Political Process if he would invite the three pastor/preachers of the three presidential hopefuls to constitute one show's panel.

With video clips of each of the three church's services/sermons.

I think so, too.

I'm blaming the writers strike, not that I blame THEM, I don't. But it kind of shifted my perception of Bill, which is fine. If I had a perception without knowing the guy personally I can use the mix-up, but he seems less assertive now and I miss that about him.

I think so too, it's less edgy these days and he does seem to have trouble filling the panels. I would be happy to never see Barney Frank or PJ O'rourke on there again. Both of them seem to talk an awful lot without saying very much. On the rare occasion when he does get someone good on, they seem to get drowned out. The show with Carlson was just embarrasing, and the technical problems he has are just sad. (McAuliffe) My interest was waning before the strike, now...well I won't be paying for hbo anytime soon...

I think the reasons he's had trouble filling the panel this season was in part due to the strike (at first) and now due to the fact that it's an election season and everybody worth seeing live on an unscripted (mostly) panel is afraid to say anything they really think for any number of reasons.

There have been many excellent panelists over the years, and I'll still watch. It's Bill. I think it'll improve next season.

Only if the lobbyist is on a rotating spit. But fresh faces defintely. If I see Jason Alexander on there again I'll slit my wrists!
