This board does everything I liked about those boards, and some better.

This board lets me have a signature; something we lost at Mahers.

I just with the "first unread" would work better within a thread.

If his board comes up again, it may be the only way to find some of the people we miss.

All that said, one board is sufficient for me to post on.

Me too. I can't handle more than one board....and sometimes I don't handle even the one very well (responding to folks who've responded to me).

I really really really like it here. It's better than the other board. Which reminds me, I've got to post some nasty gossip about Bill (can't do that at BM's board).

I post on a bunch of different forums, so I may go back to the Maher board occasionally, primarily to point interesting people this way. This will be my main politics board, though. I really hope it doesn't go the way of political-nutshell.

I have no gripes with Bill Mahers board, and I especially like this board too..I hope that when Bill's board comes back up that this board is still reasonably active..I have a few boards that I bounce around, so posting here or wherever is not a big deal..It kinda sucks though when you are posting on a dead board to yourself

Well, I appreciate those of you who have stuck it out here before the rush came on. You, VKM, Teri, Danny, Sunflower, zimmy, kana and a few others really helped to keep things going during that time.

I do have a pretty big gripe about the way we were so unceremoniously dumped by the BM board. The Admin there, and I can only assume management behind her, obviously doesn't value our patronage very much.

How the powers that be communicate about the "outage" will go along way to deciding whether I continue on there, and how frequently. Right now, the message I get from them is- "we can't be bothered with you." Warm and fuzzy it is not.

Eric seems to want to set a hands-off moderation policy and I'm ready to give that a chance. No efforts to moderate should ever be aimed at the content of any communication. On the other hand, Fuck you's to individuals, and bashing by association in my mind is not communication worth preserving - and it crowds out the stuff that makes our rights of expression valuable.

Let's see how things go.

What about the HBO forums, I have browsed around them a little and it doesn't seem too tightly moderated but then again it's hard to say without really haning out there to see. They do allow sigs though I see.
