I agree, I clicked on the "send message to IT people" that comes up on the Maher forum board asking when will the site return - this was 2 weeks ago and never did get a response. I don't think that board is a priority to Bill Maher. They barely can keep his official web site updated let alone keep a message board going (and I doubt he cares).

I agree that a little message when I click on Bill's board with atleast a brief explanation of whats going on would be nice..I was a member of a health board, that had 50,000 members, and they crashed a server over a year ago, and were down for 3 months, and for over a month with a blank white page with no explanation whatsoever..Someone decided to set up a temporary heath board for us refugees, and long story short, the temporary board became a permenant one, and our Parkinsons forum moved there..So this deal with Mahers board doesnt surprise me..They keep everyone hanging, wondering if the board is even going to come back

I only know by virtue of print media however. And the media says she only used him to learn how to promote her skanky hiney ho.

I like it here and don`t feel like my hands are tied or that my freedom of expression is being held in check. To hold a forum about politics and then say we better not say anything bad about the political satirist that is presenting the forum is hypocritical. I emailed the admin. and was told that her address no longer excited. To just shut us down without warning or explanation is unforgivable. I`m here to stay. I tested the limits on bad taste in my tread on "Witches with Hot Tits" and not only did I not get banned or censored but the admin. joined in. A sense of humor was missing with the former admin. I say Good ridden`s to Bill and his Playboy mansion shenanigans. (OK I`m jealous ).

There seems like only one person posting continually & living in her own world........ I was there in it's infancy when no one was there..........

It has come full circle.. The big flood from BM now it is almost no mans land again........

I can't recall her name that owns the site but she is very cool. (something angel she used @ BM & @ her place)....... She let some idiots mod there which was a mistake but overall I never felt over moderated there......

I have to agree w/ wayside though that if it starts to get over moderated I will wander away as well.. I rarely have a prob w/ that but I have already heard some crys for moderation.......

Most boards that are unmoderated or very lightly moderated tend to police themselves & but on the other side can tend to isolate others till the place is but a circle jerk.............

That in my opinion is what befell nutshell........... I hope that we get more contrarian views here soon...............

A lot of good insight and advice in your post Bill. I agree.

And I sure hope we get some more conservatives around here too, to keep Cookie company, and to keep the rest of us on our toes.
