Thanks Zimmy!
Somebody's 'lending' me a copy of the DVD in the near future. I'm going to go out on a huge limb and assume you've seen it.

How fucking childish can we get? Get rid of that whole "I belong to this group and I'm special" mindset...including that godawful "Truthers" badge. You want to spin everyone to the walls? Keep "classifying" people. What's next? Sharks and Jets badges?
You've got a real problem with authority don't you?

I don't think it's an authority issue, but more of a clique issue, like in high school. I'm not saying that's what we have here....please don't misunderstand, cause the mods are fine with me. But I can see his point.

He's like me. We're pissed because we were passed over for the job.

I don't really care about the moderator badges, but the rationale for having the moderators stand out (with yellow names on the user list and the like) is to make it easier for people to contact us if they need something. Without mods, all of that kind of stuff would have to go through Eric, and unlike the admin at the Maher forum, he's not getting paid for this. On the contrary, he's actually paying to give us this place, so I'd ask people to consider that when they think about the moderator issue.

I can certainly understand why he would want to have mods: so he can spread out some of the day to day chores of running a web forum so he can have more time to enjoy it himself as a member of the community.

for some reason it comes on at 3PM down here in Floriduh.

But I got it to be TIVO'd at both times.

No; I havent seen it. Had a date to go see it at the Gainesville theater - but we broke up just before that - so I didn't bother.

So this will be my first watching.
I got drummed off the Petty boards. HAHA
