Real Time 4/4

Actor Esai Morales, fmr. Labor Secretary Robert Reich, Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), and Real Time correspondent Amy Holmes. Plus, via satellite, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA).

Great, that damn ditz Holmes is back for another round, although I want Lee to weigh in on that dumbass remark by Darrell Issa. Hello democratic pick-up

Black Knight, why don't you send a question asking why in the name of all that is holy Amy Holmes gets to be on the show.

I got a question I dare Black Knight to ask on the risk it'll never be answer:

Why does Bill Maher not admit that humans have raised livestock for food for eleven thousand years and that all hominids as well as their ancestors have been omnivores for seven million years?

Has he denied those facts?

I thought he wasn't eating meat (most of the time, as he does eat it occassionally) because he loves animals and he is protesting the way they are commercially raised and slaughtered. That includes the unhealthy hormones injected into them and their food, which then is eventually eaten by US, making us very unhealthy.

Don't get me wrong, I eat meat, and likely always will. But it is pretty sad the way animals are being treated before they arrive on our dinner plates.

Wait 24 hours, and check Youtube, it's how I survived when I was in college, before I was destroyed by politics.

As for me getting questions on Overtime, I don't think it's going to happen for a looooong time since when Maher remembers my name because I got questions asked 3 times in 5 weeks, I think the well's dryed up until next season. Understandably so, since other people should have their questions put on and it's rude to monopolize a venue for everyone. Also some of the questions I ask are topics the panel discuses (Like how Absence Education is a stunning failure) so I won't bitch. Although I am impressed that they accept questions until the last minute (The follow up on foster children for Homes), I thought Maher might have selected them ahead of time like with Blogga please and just kept it open as a formality.

I thought the show was interesting, I think we know why Homes was invited, she was the designated punching bag except for the few times Maher defended her on the taxes. Overall it was a pretty good panel and show. Specter played along with Maher as the had a little power struggle as to should the interview be about promoting the book, or bashing Bush.

A little to much touching on the race issues, but with Obama and MLK's 40th anniversary of his death, I guess I can overlook that.

Also it seems like more and more often that Maher goes after the audience for not getting or liking the jokes in the monologue. Case in point, when he tries to point to the Real Time board twice.

My question is, what was Maher doing on the table that got Lee riled up? Did he spill his drink or get dust on his jacket and it got on the table?

I think Maher spilled his drink.

The reason Amy Holmes is on is because Bill wants to fuck her. Period.

Barbara Lee runs intellectual circles around Holmes.

She's cute, but as soon as she opened her mouth and words came out, ....................
