Silly, absolutely, but I got a chuckle out of it.
Maybe not so silly. Brazil may have to rethink its anouncement of new offshore oil reserves.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali was great. If you haven't read Infidel, do so. Well worth the read, even if parts make you cringe.
Well, she's been pretty heavily scarred by Islam as she's seen it.

It's do her good to work with Muslims in the U.S.

Black_Knight is going down hill
Nazi's and food sources aside, was I the only one who found this show extremely boring considering the gold plater that was the ABC clusterfuck?

I mean Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Markos Moulitsa are black holes of thought. We got enough shit to worry about more than the condition third world countries treat their women, or bloggers giving themselves handjobs.

West was drowning in the sea of banality the other two were spewing.

I still think ABC is a sore spot with Maher.

This is as clear as I can make it.
Like I keep saying, you're ignoring the fact that we are no longer simply raising livestock for a single village like they did 1,000 years ago. We're killing cattle and shipping meat all over the USA. Doesnt matter if you raise Bison or Emu's.

We have 300 million people to feed in this country alone. And people living in the suburbs can't raise/tend to their own beef crops.

And we simply dont have the grazing land available to feed the amount of animals we eat each day. What are they gonna eat in the winter? We had a bad drought last year, and there were fields of bermuda near my home that were dried up.

Maybe if people dramaticaly reduced the amount of beef they produce that would be a start. But as cattle populations decrease, the price of beef will go thru the roof. $20 for a packaged steak in the groc-store. But if you plan to have beef be as available as it is now, get used to grain fed cattle.....or quit eating it.

And, yes skyscrapers aren't going anywhere, so they might as well double as windbreaks for the return of limited forestation where now only the skyscraper reigns.
Forests need windbreaks to thrive?? That's not what's killing our forests. People are cutting them down to make room for farm land so they can raise cattle...especially the rainforests.

At one time I would have thought Bills point was bullshit....but I'm beginning to see the light.

No, I've factored that in with today's technology. the quantity is no issue.

It's the raising of livestock where the problem occurs not the shipping.

Already answered.

With the right species we will. i've explained this already.

Winter has always been a predator's boon. There's no reason to think this has changed since then.

Wrong, since the meat from native species will offset the availibility. In fact the wider range of species will drive all prices down universally. This is additionally true in fish markets. Food species diversity has always improved a society's food source.

I've addressed this already. Read previous posts.

To return to deforested areas windbreaks do in fact help the rate of regrowth. Winds can displace soil and dry the land up, preventing trees from thriving.

Again, because they're not using the right species of meat animal for the environment they're in. Same as I've many times explained. And, most forest burning is for agriculture not feeding livestock. Vegetarians have lied about this [or simply didn't know any better] when claiming otherwise.

He doesn't see the whole picture and there's many parts he's willfully ignoring to suit his PETA ideology.

It's the raising of livestock where the problem occurs not the shipping.Shipping just consumes more resources. And the main point is, we ship it because local communities do not and for the most part cannot produce their own food.......

Winter has always been a predator's boon. There's no reason to think this has changed since then. I'm not talking about predators. I'm talking about how you plan to feed all these cattle thru the winter. yeah, you can grow hay I guess....but then you're just trading one crop for another.

With the right species we will. i've explained this already. You havent explained anything. you're just acting pompous..........what species? How much acreage and what crop does it take to feed one of these animals thru maturity. Break your ideas down for me....I want to see cost per acre....and product yield too....What are you gonna grow...fescue? bermuda? How many pounds of usable animal will you reap per acre?

To return to deforested areas windbreaks do in fact help the rate of regrowth. Winds can displace soil and dry the land up, preventing trees from thriving. Wind generally cause erosion when you remove the vegetation. So your solution is to build more skyscrapers?

The issue of eating meat is not ready for legislation. You should not fear munching away on animal corpses.

Maybe you peeples should discuss the merits of turning voters into demographics and politics into show-business.

If you're not going to read what I posted in answer of your questions the umpteenth time around what's the point of re-explaining everything all over again.

And you should stop putting words into my posts that I never once suggested. Once or twice I figure it's a miscommunication, but when it becomes a habit of yours I take it as being obtuse.

I bet it is, but considering he wears the fact that he was fired like a fucking badge of honor, you'd think he'd jump in the pile on.
