I wish, this was probably the first time I was mad my question got selected since the one person who could have given great input on it, left. Probably due to the constant bullshit with Shandling.

On the bright side, he did keep Taibbi from making smart ass remarks too.

This happened last time Shandling was on too. Though I think he was funnier then, he still derailed some good conversation. Tonight was even worse.

Is Maher getting cocky or too confidant? Doesn't he put any thought into matching up a panel? Two great speakers and a guy at the end with a clown horn.

I notice Maher's jokes have been falling flat a lot lately too. He doesn't try to hide it when he's not happy with the response. Again, maybe too cocky? He's great because he's one of the few out there that cut through the BS, and it's fine that he's a comedian but that's not the main thing the crowd comes for. I'm glad he cut out the stupid skits at the beginning of the show, they were never worth the time they ate up.

I think whether Bill likes it or not, people tune in to hear people like Donahue and Huffington more than his comedy, and they damn sure don't need to hear Shandling cut off Huffington in order to babble incoherently for two minutes.

Maybe Maher should adjust his format a bit. Don't drop the jokes, but if you don't have eight good jokes then only tell the five good ones you do have and leave more time for discussion. Also try to avoid the distracters like Shandling & Robin Williams, (cool guy but he's like a little tornado), and especially the loud mouths like Joe Scarbourho and Tucker Carlson that just talk over people the whole show.

Shandling's confused rambling reminded me of the awful Kevin Costner appearance . But I doubt anyone's mind could be jumbled enough by painkillers to seriously consider McCain just because they're sick of the media attention the two democrats are getting . Maybe he's going senile , which would explain why he's looking at McSame - you know birds of a feather and all that . Arianna was excellent and Donahue just looked like he was there to promote his movie without being too argumentative with anyone . Or maybe he just didn't want to cut in on Shandling's inane babbling . Taibbi seemed disappointed that Hillary's supporters are showing the enthusiasm that Obama's did earlier this year . Can't say I blame him , because if Hillary pulls closer in delegates the convention could be a real mess this year that may result in Bush's clone being elected , senior moments and all .
