Maybe he's going senile , which would explain why he's looking at McSame - you know birds of a feather and all that . Arianna was excellent and Donahue just looked like he was there to promote his movie without being too argumentative with anyone . Or maybe he just didn't want to cut in on Shandling's inane babbling . Taibbi seemed disappointed that Hillary's supporters are showing the enthusiasm that Obama's did earlier this year . Can't say I blame him , because if Hillary pulls closer in delegates the convention could be a real mess this year that may result in Bush's clone being elected , senior moments and all .
I didn't get that from his piece. I thought he looked pretty enthusiastic about the enthusiasm Hillary was getting from her supporters. He compared it to a year ago when they were playing games rather than listen to her speech. Dr.Z liked the piece so it couldn't have been that bad.

It was a terrible last episode, waste of my time. Why was Phil Donohue even on the show?? Bill has definitely lost some of his edge.

This show totally SUCKED!! Shandling was so annoying I wish they would have cut his mic off. I would have liked to hear more from Phil Donahue who got maybe 1 sentence in the whole hour. It turned into the Gary Shandling hour. What a waste of an hour. Certainly not worth staying up for.

How could Phil get a word in with Shandling interrupting everyone talking the whole time. Phil D has never been on the show and he barely got to speak because of Garry flirting with Arianna the entire time trying to be funny. This show sucked so bad. Bill didnt' look too thrilled at the end either.

It pretty well did suck. Phil was on Moyers a while back, talking about Body of War, and he was great. It's like he didn't get the format of the show or something.

Arianna was funny -- and she was taken aback for a split second before starting to laugh after she sain Bill had slept with more black women than Obama, and Bill came back with 'At least my husband wasn't gay."

So much for the high point...

Someone needs to send Bill Maher a petition to NEVER AGAIN have people like Gary Shandling on the show! They completely fucking ruin it, and this the last episode of the season!

This season has been flat from the beginning with the writers strike starting it off. His jokes are falling flat where he has to explain them, that thing he did in the middle about the amusement park in Iraq was the worse, not funny at all. And getting Phil Donahue on the panel so he could sit there for an hour to listen to Shandling interupt, ramble and be a total idiot.
