I didn't think Shandling was as bad as I heard but he was not funny. The audiance bearly laughed at his jokes but Bill sure did.
I even thought Taibi was oddly restrained. Not one F word escaped his snaggletoothed mouth. He actualy came across like his father for the first time. All in all though......it was another declining episode. Why should the last one be any different then the rest of the season. |

A lot of shows this season were flat, the writers strike only partly the cause. There was one show that shined, about a week or two ago, but otherwise I think Bill is flying too high, it seems like he thinks he can do no wrong so he doesn't have to try. There have been at lease four shows this season that were devastated by a loud mouth of one kind or another. Screw that crap. |

Although if I was in the audience for this show, I'd risk getting ejected by trying to shout down Shandling and prop up Phil since that man's a true trooper. |

I believe Shandling thought he was on the Tonight Show, and being the guest sitting closest to the host, it was his turn to talk. Those cartoons of the Iraqi amusement park... seriously. I can't believe anyone out of the third grade would think those funny, yet he showed them anyway. Was that the kind of crap we were missing while the writers were on strike? |

Gary Shandling, Lary David and others like them represent a type of "comedian" that I've yet to find funny and can't understand why they ever had an audience of any size.

I USED to like Shandling long ago, liked his standup and his TV shows and saw him live, he was good at standup. However, after seeing him on Real Time twice now, I can't stand this guy anymore. He looks like a bloated mess. I am finding I am saying same for Bill - used to love his standup and his shows but sure am starting to lose interest in him as well. Used to love his monologues and New Rules and those aren't even good anymore. And that horrible lame ass Iraq amusement park I can not believe when Bill and his writers came up with that he said GREAT IDEA!!

I just hope he studies this past season hard and comes back next season with a better plan. |
