At least one thing is clear.
As the pen is mightier than the sword, so are 9999 words more powerful than 10,001.

but then it all depends on the words themselves.

By the same token, it is IMPERATIVE that we quit reducing entire philosophies, policies, plans, and principles into one-liners. Short attention span...you say you have some drugs for that? Sign us up. The automatic debit at interest rates in the TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT RANGE plan, please.
The people who are ripping off the people tell us it's too complicated to understand. I'll grant it's more complicated than balancing our personal checkbooks and not killing our neighbors...that's why we pay them the big perks...but it ain't THAT much more complicated. If it is, it is MANIFESTLY CLEAR that our leadership is NOT up to the task. Where was I? This box is so small, I lose my place even MORE...I didn't even think that was possible. Like a state being 97% white...that caught me off guard, too. Brevity is wit. Oscar Wilde, yes? I ADORE Oscar Wilde. But for the weather, I could SO live in Ireland. Fuck you. That's brief and to the point. And I HOPE that at least you and I are clear that I didn't just insult you, the individual. I hope at least you, who I hope to meet if I get to Florida, and I are clear that to point out a flaw in reasoning is not to attack personally. If everyone was right, why the hell would be having any discussions at all? I think this. Me, too, so take that. Alright, I will. Thanks. Don't mention it. All brains were not created equal. That's the name of that tune. Everything ISN'T short and sweet. Go to hell. I want. I need. I think. I hate. I'm scared. I'm tired. I don't care. Brief and to the point, all. Regular people are being hoodwinked by highly-educated, even more highly-priced professionals. It is disgusting. People will embrace listening longer and more carefully, people will embrace reading more and more thoroughly, or people can anticipate more of the same. Worse, actually. A course is set. We're still on it, moving in the wrong direction. |

I was not argueing for sloganeering, nor was I saying everything has to be over drawn out dramas..
I like just about everything in moderation. extremes are just that - and by their nature are not used as much as the 50% percentile ( the mean). So go ahead and rant sometimes, if one needs to get that out. But a good writer is succint, accurate, and aware that saying less is sometimes better than saying more ( in a run on sentance that never stops because the writer cant organize their thoughts well enough to be able to get to the point) |
