Disposable People - March 2008 Attorney grumble...

Posted 03-11-2008 at 04:49 PM by jowey
Well we have yet to obtain any correspondence from our latest attorney. I had written a letter with a payment November 10, 2007 where I requested confirmation of the invoices and an explanation for additional payment when before the attorney left his firm we had a credit. Apparently some of the money remained with the original firm, it did not add up to the amounts described in the invoice from this attorneys new practice. The original firm is asking about the money in their account, something...

Disposable people - How Virginia's lost its integrity

Posted 03-09-2008 at 11:16 AM by jowey
It appears that attorneys sanctioned by the Virginia State Bar discriminate against their clients. This is based upon our attempts to address our problems by retaining members of this institution. The total number retained so far has been nine and nine have demonstrated questionable "strategy". The response from the Bar has been that the client censor the member through the courts, this requires that one retain another member. Another response has been that one has a bad case, this...

From the assets they determine their "strategy", it is not their professional skill or diligence to the law that determines the "strategy". Once a clients "threat" level is ascertained, the level of representation is determined, whether the client will have enough assets to be able to retain another attorney to sue them may provide...

Attorney Grumble....

Posted 03-03-2008 at 03:34 PM by jowey
This recent attorney seems to be proving to be another winner. The original firm evidentially still has some of my money. When my girlfriend talked to them she asked if they had talked to this attorney, they said that they had not. They assume that he has been in court but have not been able to contact him. They had asked us to confirm whether we had received any correspondence from him. Maybe he sent it and it got lost in the mail, attorneys seem to have that problem.

Of course...

Disposable people - The Virginia Authorites

Posted 03-01-2008 at 06:58 PM by jowey
Ironically I have had more positive experiences with the police than with attorneys. As a Marine I had a lot of friends that intended to become police officers when they got out, they had come from families of police. Having said that I now go to experiences where I was the focus of some of this population, had need of their services. I bring this up because I have been told that I would want their help to address a "situation". The reality is that I have been in need of their help...
