Did you hear those questions they asked him at the end of the address? I was flabbergasted. They were so ignorant as to be insulting and that is sad because the ones doing the asking had generated the questions out of a sense of their own goodness. After all, if they were good and felt swept up in broad brush-strokes of condemnation aimed at their country (i.e. who they are..as far as one primary identification goes) their questions are code for “Am I not good?” The entire dialog between Wright...

The recent address by Jeremiah Wright at the National Press Club has generated discussion in religious circles that are as wide and varied as what you see in the population at large. A near majority of members in white congregations of more liberal denominations are sympathetic of Wright and register understanding of his message while many pulpits in fundamentalist churches are occupied by ministers who cannot heap enough condemnation on Wright as if he were the devil incarnate.

It's a safe assumption that most here want to see political change occur. Many might like to see such marked change that we can regain the confidence that the trials of the last 7 years will never be forced upon us again.

Though I want to say something like "it's a shame that we cannot agree on how to go about it", that might not necessarily be such a bad thing. Among the dem field are several good candidates, 3 of which stand a reasonable chance of receiving the nomination....
