I really don't think that the point that the president has christian views could impact legislation in such a way as to change the course of this nation. From your statement you obviously do. I was merely asking for an example of where this has occurred.

What's done is past.

We are in the process of selecting a new president. A new president very often introduces an altered direction for the country, yes? This is why all the hullabaloo over who we should choose.

Someone with uber Christian views is, all things considered, not a good choice as we shift into a new Administration.

Infusing uber Christian views into legislation governing a host of religions is beyond borrowing trouble. It's begging for it.

Is not congress the legislative branch of the government? Do you feel that all individuals running for president and all that run for the congress be required to state wether or not they believe in God and just how strong their believe or disbelief is?

On the contrary, I feel that they should no more state their religious beliefs than they should their underwear sizes.

In the case of a Fringe religion...like Romney's Excellent Adventure With Mormonism...of which the public almost CAN'T remain unaware, it is Madness to even consider the Belief Forget-Holder HUGGER as a suitable steward for a troubled and multi-faceted nation.

An extremely interesting segment of the "Watergate After Thirty" dealt with the what occured immediately following the Supreme Court ruling stating that Nixon must turn over the tapes. Sam Dash told how they all took a breath and thought, "what if he doesn't? As President he is Commander In Chief of the Army. The Supreme Court doesn't have an army. Congress doesn't have an army. What would we have done? The Consitution was in crisis." As it now stands the President can legislate, enforce and deny appeal. So when asked if Congress is still the legislative branch my answer would be, "sort of."

Me too. He's addressing what needs to be done

and I think he's tough enough and diplomatic enough

to do what needs to be done. It think his agenda is going

to be tough to achieve, but not set so high, he'll be

painted as failure or that it is unachievable. He handles

the media very well.
