EXACTLY! He used his position as an elected official, like Haggard used his forum as a religious leader, to condemn and deny rights to gays, then he's a closet gay himself! It's dishonest and dispicable. That's why it matters.

Separately from gay or straight and separately from hypocrisy, is it not also unacceptable that our elected Representatives...officials of the United States government...come on to strangers in random bathrooms?

Otherwise...jeez...they should have to announce which state they're representing when they tap on those tiles. I'd want unsuspecting pee'ers to know that California is...how did wayside put it?...gaze tunnel straight, toes twelve inches from the action.
