How do people feel about gays in their community?

I don't care. Gay, straight whatever. Do whatever the hell you want to do in your own bedroom. I've got no problem with gay/lesbian neighbors, coworkers,even friends. But don't try to push it mainstream to our younger generation like its morally right, or socially neutral or benign. Because it's not. Like it or not, it's a private matter. Just like me, as a straight man- if I had some type of sexual fetish for bondage, scat, feet, role playing, WHATEVER. A couple's private sexual preferences should not be a matter of public debate. Keep it at home, private, discreet, whatever. Don't make it a mainstream issue to the point where my 4 year old kids are asking me shit about what "gay" means or how two women or two men are able to copulate. Little kids should be thinking about what video game they want for their birthday, what new cool R/C car or boat they like. Who their favorite power ranger is........not how two people of the same sex can have relations.

The only problem I have with gay people is when a white gay person equates their issues with that of a black or Latino. A white gay person is still white. A cop isn't going to pull them over in a good neighborhood because they're gay.

As far as having a problem with homosexuality itself? Absolutely not. I believe we're born straight, bi, or gay. Look at all the gay people that tried to live straight lives, Larry Craig, etc. Just doesn't work.

So before quoting the bible to bash gays maybe we should ask how many live by these standards.

I love it! We have a good size gay community here and many of my friends are gay. I never had a problem with it. My Friend Brenda whom I've known since age 2 is lesbian and always has been. Never bothered me.
