Conservatism was and always has been about the protection of America's ruling class and its property. Little wonder then that the religious nuts walked into this political wing thirty years ago and attempted to fill the moral vacuum that's always been at its core.

That isn't wrong. Rich people have always been smarter voters cause they vote for people who will keep them rich. The poor tend to be less intelligent because they generally vote against their own best interest. They pick populous candidates that promises which they have no intention on keeping anyways.

I think there well not be anywhere near as many ppl voting against their own self interest.

Especially those that do not consider themselves to be wealthy.....

They were able to overcome this w/ things such as abortion etc........ There is not going to be an anti-abortion candidate......

IMO the right wing elitist trying to sell the/mr. war are going to have a far harder time w/ finding an issue that is going to over ride self interest like abortion did w/ many voters.........
