Perhaps an easier question for the McCain supporters to answer would be this: What does John McCain understand?
Isn't McCain on the foreign relations committee or some other committee that kinda, sorta maybe deals with foreign'ish affairs...?

Holy crow, you're kidding.

He must follow the Billo school of thot: He's sick of hearing about Sunni and Sh'ia.

He's the head of the commerce committee I think and used to be on the armed services committee. He definitely showed himself to be dumb enough to be a Republican president.

McCain Repeats Iran-Al Qaeda Gaffe Yet Again
March 19, 2008 San Stein

Sen. John McCain has done it again.

For the third time in two days, the Arizona Republican has pushed the definitively false statement that the terrorist group Al-Qaeda was getting assistance from Iran, even though he was publicly ridiculed for the same false assertion on Tuesday.

This time, in a statement from his campaign honoring the fifth year anniversary of the war, McCain wrote:

"Today in Iraq, America and our allies stand on the precipice of winning a major victory...
(Oh Brother. No thanks, I've had enough. You're gonna have to search that to find out more of his 'opinions'.)

Lieberman Has To Correct Another McCain Error

MSNBC News Mark Murray March 20, 2008

Joe Lieberman who quietly pointed out the mistake, giving McCain an opportunity to correct himself in front of the international press corps. In Israel yesterday, NBC's Lauren Appelbaum reports, Lieberman once again intervened when McCain made an incorrect reference about the Jewish holiday Purim -- by calling the holiday "their version of Halloween here."

McCain made the incorrect statement during a press conference with (the) Israeli Defense minister.
