No President can do good or bad without the help of Congress. I personally appreciate the lowering of taxes when he first came to office.
I appreciate the way he led our nation after 9-11 in keeping our spirits up. If we think back to that time all other politicians, even the democrats, thought he was doing a great job. I respect President Bush for doing what he thinks is the right thing to do in Afganistan and Iraq. I am sure that he and Congress have so much more information than we have in regard to either war. He obviously has a tremendous amount of patience. I am proud of President Bush for not allowing the media and polls that are affected by the media to run the country. It would be much easier on him to follow the polls and call the NY Times before any major decisions to get their ok first. I appreciate you starting this thread as I do respect him and feel he has done well on many things. I do not agree with some of his decisions but I feel he has my country's interest at heart. It is hard to dislike him for that. |
