Pardon me....When and where did I indicate that?

Can't say I've heard that charge leveled at "your people." Next time someone accuses you of lack of loyalty, try this:

"The reason we have so few loyalties is because we are third-generation consumers of products with built-in obsolescence." That oughtta shut 'em up.

Just as well, then, that I didn't include observant or insightful in a list of your attributes.
nice.....I really don't understand the attitude flip...

I wonder what my incentive is to respond to you if you're just going to get upset and insult me for disagreeing with you in a respectful manner........

That's why I am following winthrop's advice to take the time to add 'not you' to generic you...you-not-you. Toughen up. That's one thing I've noticed about Democrats...not to say you, drs...they can dish it out better than they can take it. They also don't dish it out as well as they think they do.

Do you, like so many Americans, require incentives before you will do what makes sense?

Conservatives don't need incentives...they figger out what works for them, and they set about gettin' it done. That's where I'm at now.

Presently, I am not even specifically upset, much less with you. Poetrychic tried that too, re: "hitting a nerve." My nerves, all of 'em, have ALREADY been hit, I am low-grade upset ALL the time. That would be because my completely schizophrenic country...Bad Ass Slash Big Baby...is frolicking on the edge of disaster, and everyone is playing political patty-cake as economic stimulus.

But let's get this straight, I like you fine and you are sometimes on the money re: economics but, overall, it is substantially unlikely that I will learn anything from you or that you will ever amount to a hill of beans in my life. Respond or don't, whatever works for you.

After what I've been through with the Obama Bitches, I cut no quarter for thin skin. Plus, we're running out of time.

ahh...actually I missed the -not-you part...but really my response was an indication of being hurt...rather to draw attention to what I percieved was a misunderstanding....

If we're still pissing our lives away on these boards at that time I will be sure to thank you

I don't think so...but what makes sense to some doesn't to others....so some are doing what is wrong to us for what you would consider the right reason...

Do some? Yes...same for democrats....

It can be hard to infer intent/emotions on the internet

Eh...well then I would question your purpose here if it isn't to learn what you can from others and teach what you know.

If A, then R?

You don't think you require incentives to do what makes sense. If you say so, but you say differently elsewhere.

What makes sense to some doesn't make sense to others. No question.

"...so some are doing what is wrong to us for what you would consider the right reason..." This comes from where and has to do with what?

I did not say it is substantially unlikely that I will learn anything from anyone. I said it is substantially unlikely that I will learn anything from you. I do not say that meanly and I do not mean that disrespectfully. It's true, you are behind me on this path. For the hell of it, notice how much more offensive my candid remark is than your flip remark. There's a lesson for ya.

ALL THE TIME, I relate what I know, what I have learned, what I have experienced, what I have read, what I have heard, what I have assimilated, what I think, what I believe. For what? To be called a liar, a moron, a racist and a klan member...AND THEN TO BE ISSUED A BOARD WARNING FOR 'INSULTING BOARD MEMBERS' BY CALLING THEM OBAMA BITCHES?

More than once is how many times I have written something with which you agree, you agree, you agree, and then comes a part that prompts you say some variation of "Don't know what yer talkin' about there, mate." NONE is how many times you have pursued the point. NEVER, apparently, how often you think you could learn from me. Suit yourself.

Whether we continue this conversation is your call...like Menopause Training Camp, it is liable to be unpleasant now but helpful down the line. However, insofar as this post constitutes direct reply to a remark of yours, I urge you not to be angry or retaliatory.

You ask if I require an incentive to do what makes sense(what is right) like so many Americans....my reply in short was that many Americans do what is right to them without incentive, even if it may not make sense to you....but since they didn't require incentive, they're doing it for the right reason.

I don't understand why you're upset with me. I didn't give you an infraction.

As far as you being called names....the best advice I can give is to put those people on ignore OR report the posts in question. It does little good to direct those hard feelings at me now, especially when it has nothing to do with an otherwise pleasent exchange.

When I say I don't follow what you're saying, that is the prompt for you to explain it better. I didn't know I had to specifically ask for you to do it...

You're upset, I can see that, and I'm sorry. however, if you wish to carry on the conversation that we were having as it pertains to this thread, great....if not, suit yourself.

"Upset" is to my mental state as "disunited" is to United States. But I am not more "upset" with you...if anything, less.

I am, however, more disappointed in you. That You is neither universal nor only you-individual. I have already declared my perception that you are a subset of your generation, yes?

As far as being called names goes, the best advice I can give to everyone is:

Sticks and Stones may break my bones
But Names will never hurt me.

This is not only a board, this is a society that will asterisk out the word ******, to protect the delicate sensibilities of blacks who cling to the notion of entitlement to first place in the reparations line, but will stand idly by while another is called a racist and a Klan member.

Racism unto Klan membership...if I were explaining things to my son, AGAIN, as you will be obliged to explain things to your daughter...is the essence of what could ever have accommodated snatching black people right out of their own backyard and transporting them...like a natural resource but without the care that would have been afforded a limited resource...for brutally forcible application to the American Dream.

Elemental racism...pure if wrong-headed sense of superiority and entitlement...turbo-charged with fear, hatred, contempt and unmitigated conscienceless cruelty begat this issue of Racism with which we still contend and of which I stand accused.

(Notice me leave out the racism displayed toward Native American Indians, who we fucked over but good before we fucked over blacks...that's how we're rolling, right? All black, all the time?)

The You's of the generation following my own, INCLUDING BARACK OBAMA, who have stood silently by? Know that, in all probability, you'd have stood silently by for McCarthy as well. And Hitler.

First, I remind you that you are a Moderator.

Next, we will want to talk about that business of you only working hard and right if you get paid.

Then, I hate to break this to you...believe me when I say I wish it weren't so...but there is NOTHING pleasant about this time in American history. Unless you-generic are, like Big Money, snapping up foreclosures and undervalued stocks. There are some real bargains out there.

Who would I direct myself to in your generation, if not to "the likes" of you? We're going for Change, are we? Change comes, whether we want it or like it or not. Change ALWAYS requires adjustments. Adjustments require leaders and followers. Which are you?

Disingenuous. If you will look back, you will find that your remarks of non-understanding have been more along the line of, 'whatever.'

As I said, it is for YOU to decide whether you are up to engaging in a conversation as pertains to Tough Love. It's Big Boy stuff.

I stand ready, though not today. Today, I am going to go into San Francisco with my niece...plumb not the depths but the intricacies of the Teenage Brain. Oh yay.

This portion of your post I understand possibly in a way many others here do not. While I've never been a conservative, nor have I ever voted Republican...I'm finding the views of many of the younger voters just this side of fascist. (No people, I did not just call BO a fascist. I called many of his more narrow-minded followers fascist.)

That many in my party are literally going against everything we always preached just makes my jaw drop.
